This role is crucial in ensuring the effective running of our volunteer-led community car service, enabling our vulnerable clients to attend medical and wellbeing appointments, as well as social activity groups.
Responsibilities
- Plan the weekly schedule for our volunteer drivers
- Coordinate transport enquiries and requests
- Maintain accurate records of transport activities using our CRM (Customer Relationship Management) - training will be given
- Communicate effectively with our volunteers, clients and other staff members
- Management of our Minibus service (liaising with the garage to ensure all regular checks have been completed)
- Planning Wellbeing Trips (using our Minibus to take clients out on social trips)
- Create reports using the CRM
- Other general support in the office, as needed, to support our wide range of services
Requirements
- Excellent organisational and planning skills
- Excellent computer literacy, including experience with databases/CRMs
- Good communication skills, including being able to work empathically with our older client base
- Good geographic knowledge of the Ottery and District area an advantage
- A valid driving licence is an advantage but not mandatory
- Excellent ability to work collaboratively with a small, supportive staff team
